My name is [Your First Name, Last Name] and I’m a constituent of Representative [Representative's Last Name] in [Your City, Tennessee]. My phone number is [Your Phone Number]. I am calling regarding news reports indicating that Governor Lee is urging the state legislature to pass an “order of protection” law with respect to firearms. As a constituent of Representative [Representative's Last Name], I am urging him to oppose any order of protection laws, red flag laws, extreme risk protection laws, or any variants thereof. DO NOT support such proposals. As stated in the 5th Amendment “No person shall…be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”. As stated in the 4th Amendment “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, SHALL NOT be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation”. Red flag laws and variants of these are not only 2nd Amendment violations, but also 4th, 5th, and even 14th Amendment violations. Do not support further gun restrictions and gun control. If you do, I will not vote for you and I will tell everyone in your district to vote for anyone other than you.
